SHALFORD CHRISTMAS MARKET @ST MARY’S 2021
Joy, warmth and windy weather

‘Twas a wonderful day last Saturday with so many hosting, helping, creating, singing, meeting together. The market supported over 26 fabulous local creative small enterprises via their stalls, including many young entrepreneurs. As well as beautifully prepared church-village stalls and refreshments which raised over £5,000 for Christopher’s Shooting Star Children’s Hospice and Age Concern Shalford & Peasmarsh, plus other charities on individual stalls (eg an army of reindeer raised over £600 for the British Heart Foundation). Thank you so much to all who came and supported and made the atmosphere so great. And huge thanks to the lead organiser Sarah Wiggin, and Katrina Butler and Harriet Morris, as well as a wonderful team of helpers, particularly outside in the midst of a storm including Graham, Mark, Adam, Mark, Greg, Hugh, and another great hero of the day John Simpson for freezing car park support.
